It is also possible to rally the two types of transportation since we have 3 bases of car renting in Madagascar: in Tana, in Fianarantsoa and in Tamatave.

For some parts of Madagascar that are hardly accessible the transfer by boat is indispensable. In the most classic itineraries we need boat in general: between Tuléar and Anakao, Tamatave and Ste Marie and along the channel of pangalane. In general, it takes around 1 hour to join the destination.

Accompanied by our guide and driver, you will go exploring the several possible tours. We can mention some of them, such as: the southern road, the eastern and also the famous tsiribihina and tsingy.

The southern road is divided in two parts: the high tray from Tana to Fianarantsoa and the coast between Fianarantsoa and Tuléar. This first part of the south puts in evidence the different Merinas and betsileos cultures: its rice culture in staircase, the particular shapes of house in red earth or the special zafimaniry handicraft of the zafimaniry villages in Ambositra. In this first part, it is possible to bifurcate more at the east and to discover the big Ranomafana Park or the famous train toward Manakara. In Manakara, you will continue the jaunt in dugout (traditional  pirogue) along the channel of the pangalane or if you are fan of adventure why not to make the descent by pirogue from Manakara to Mananjary.

For the second part of the southern road, we will especially note the village of Ambalavao with its second biggest market of zébu in Madagascar as well as the big park of Andrigitra renowned for the ascension of the mount peak bobby.Before arriving in Tuléar, a stop to the park of Isalo also nicknamed the colorado Malagasy because of the forms of this landscape and its canyons.

Concerning the East, we will tell here a part. In general, we will always start with visiting the park of Andasibe and Analamazaotra where reside the biggest lemurs of Madagascar: the Indri-indri; then a portion of the channel of the pangalane to be discovered by boat between Manambato and the palmarium. This journey toward the east can end on the beautiful beaches of Sainte Marie or can continue further at the north toward Manompana and the navy reserve of Mananara.

Even though explained only on the third position, its importance is not of the least: the unique Tsiribihina and Tsingy. For all those who like adventure and nature, the descent of the river of Tsiribihina allows you to discover the nature in the wild state : lemurs, bald mouse and other species in liberty with various flora. On the banks of this rivergo, go meeting these villages in the local colors very far from  the european civilization, respecting the ituals of the "Fihavanana"abd "Malagasy fady" again. At the end of your circuit in dugout (by traditional pirogue), a 4x4 is obligatory to bring you back toward the tsingy of Bemaraha. The Tsingy are classified national heritage by the Unesco, they are unique by their shape and what they shelter. It is difficult to explain well its splendours but it is neccessary to be there to see it.
